The flowers in the picture labeled as orchids are Foxgloves (probably Digitalis purpurea), not orchids. Foxgloves are an European/Central Asian plant spread around the world as an ornamental plant that was recently moved from the Scrophulariaceae family to the Plantaginaceae family.
