Admittedly, it was tough finding high quality parts anywhere except big cities in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. I had to order parts from the UK in Guatemala when I taco’d my front wheel and again in Honduras when I had to rebuild my rear wheel. However, Costa Rica seems to have an abundance of ‘pro’ bike shops, so it makes things much easier!

There are that many bike shops on your route? We could never find anything we were looking for in Central America, it seemed. Of course, computer parts are a bit more esoteric perhaps?
