It’s true Everytrail seems to have been losing support since I wrote this post. It’s too bad, because it worked really well for what we needed. I added an UPDATE at the top of this post for other readers. Thanks for the reminder!

I too would like to find another solution. Currently, I don’t know of any off-shelf plugins that do this easily, but I think it may be possible with something like WP GPX Maps or Geomashup. Note: I have not yet tested these myself.

I may be forced to write a plugin myself, something I have done in the past, but don’t really have time for now!

A few years back, I could have written the same article (poorly written in my case, I mean) because I ended up finding Everytrail for the exact same needs.

But… Everytrail is now slowly dying and embeds don’t work anymore, no support 🙁

Do you now use a different solution to have tracks and geotagged photos nicely embedded?
I’ve googled some time to find an equivalent… no results.

Regarding freak parade, we’re not exactly sure what they were celebrating. It was a village festival on a Sunday. I thought it might be something to do with Noche de Brujas or something. If anyone knows, please let us know! 😉
